A: There are many different obstacles but the main ones include individuals lacking belief in themselves and their talents. Other obstacles include the lack of opportunities to display talents and also the opportunity to try new talents.

Q? Is the group only for students at U of M?
A: No, we do not limit ourselves to only students at UofM. We want to have members and artists from various areas to ensure that we continue to reach our goals and missions. You don't have to attend the University of Michigan to be a member of F.O.K.U.S.. We are also pleased to announced that the group has a chapter in New York City.

Q?How do I join?
A: It all depends how involved you want to be in F.O.K.U.S.. You can simply add your email list to join the general group; this will add you to our distribution list and keep you updated on our various events and productions. You can join F.O.K.U.S. Cru by attending as many meetings as you can. This gives you the chance to gain experience in producing events, working on a magazine, and networking with artists, agents and the Ann Arbor community. If you are an artist, we can work with you to connect you with other artists and also work to develop platforms for you to display your talents. A: There is a chapter of F.O.K.U.S. New York City and you are welcomed to join and take part of creating the group.

Q? How can I support F.O.K.U.S.?
A: We are a not-for-profit group and are guaranteed no funding from the University of Michigan. Additionally, F.O.K.U.S. - NYC is a stand alone organization. As we strive to effectively put on various events, we always need support to reach new and wider audiences. While financial support is very important, we also need help spreading the word on F.O.K.U.S. and helping get our voice heard.
